Sydney Legacy provides practical support to Australian veterans’ families needing support financially or socially after the death of a spouse or parent. The Ford Foundation supports programs and activities of the ‘Junior Legatees’ being children of deceased veterans. Support can include youth development activities such as voyages on the Young Endeavour Youth Training Ship, Outward Bound courses, Legacy Activity camps, school costs, extra-curricular and sporting club fees and equipment, expenditure that will further their development including educational opportunities should they wish to attend TAFE or University or assistance with the initial purchase of tools/equipment/clothing on starting an apprenticeship.
